Gold dropped as Fed’s latest guidance on future rate hikes continued to weigh and markets digested the outcome of referendum on Scottish independence.

Fed's statement seen hawkish, despite policymakers maintaining language suggesting that rate hikes would not happen for a "considerable time."

SPDR gold trust holdings dropped by 7.78 tonnes i.e. -0.99% to 776.44 tonnes from 784.22 tonnes.

Oil still found some support as OPEC's secretary-general said the group may decide to reduce production for 2015 at a meeting in November

Nickel dropped amid concern a stronger dollar is weighing on demand for commodities as an investment.

Data showed the global nickel market was in a 5,200 tonne surplus in July compared to a 4,800 tonne deficit the month before.

Many investors have bought nickel on the view that a ban on ore exports from top exporters Indonesia would create shortages.
