Silver prices dropped after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen delivered an reasonably upbeat take on the U.S. economy.

Yellen told the Senate Banking Committee that U.S. economy continues to improve but added that the recovery is not yet complete.

Yellen's comments overshadowed mixed U.S. data, which depicted an economy that continues to recover albeit on a road with lingering potholes.

Crude oil dropped as rising Libyan supplies and downbeat economic data sharpened concerns the global market was heading into a near-term glut.
Data from American Petroleum Institute showed that U.S. crude inventories fell by 4.8 million barrels in the week to July 11 to 375.3 million.

Aluminium trading range for the day is 115.2-118.6.
Aluminium prices rose as inventories tracked by the London Metal Exchange extended a slump to the lowest since 2012.
Orders to withdraw aluminum account for 59 percent of inventories, compared with 43 percent at the end of 2013.
Aluminium daily stocks at Shanghai exchange came down by 1226 tonnes.

Naturalgas trading range for the day is 245.8-251.6.
Natural gas dropped as cooler than expected summer weather was expected to limit demand for the fuel.
Updated weather-forecasting models called for cooler temperatures across most parts over the next five days.
Concerns over tight supplies continued to fade away after weekly supply data showed that utilities 93 bcf of gas into storage last week.

Gold trading range for the day is 27353-28509.
Gold slid as fading fears over Portugal's banking sector and a gain in U.S. equities prompted investors to take profits.
European Central Bank President Mario Draghi reiterated at a quarterly policy meeting that the ECB will introduce quantitative easing (QE) if need be.
SPDR gold trust holdings gained by 8.68 tonnes i.e. 1.08% to 808.73 tonnes from 800.05 tonnes.
